Mrs. Benoit began her teaching career as a Pupil Adjustment teacher at the Howard Street School in Springfield, MA. After thirty years of teaching on many different levels, she became Principal of a parochial school in Springfield – Grades pre-K – 8. In January of 2000 she became an Assistant Principal of Springfield Central High School, a position she held until July 2006.

Mrs. Benoit and her husband Dan have 3 adult children, Lori Mutti, Dan Jr., and Jim. She holds Masters Degrees from Brown University, St. Thomas University, Elms College and a Masters in Administration from Westfield State College.

Assistant Principal John Jordan, Jr.

Mr. Jordan, originally from the Hudson Valley region of New York State, moved to Western Massachusetts and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Education from Westfield State College in 2000 while employed as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional in the Holyoke Public Schools.

Mr. Jordan taught first grade at the Lt. Elmer J. McMahon School for many years before attending the University of Massachusetts to pursue a Masters Degree in Educational Administration. Mr. Jordan graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 2005 and has been the Assistant Principal of the Maurice A. Donahue School, a Kindergarten through Eighth grade learning community in Holyoke.

Mr. Jordan is proud to have had the experience of working with a diverse population of learners and helping each student meet his or her individual educational goals.
